Welcome to Maqama Theatre!

 Maqama was established in 1996. Since then we have toured Shakespeare outdoors every summer and recently we moved indoors for a short run of "Macbeth". We perform primarily to the general public but also take our shows into schools where they have been very well received by the students. They seem to like that it isn't specifically aimed at them. Imagine that, kids like to be treated like adults.

 Our current projects are an open-air tour of "Twelfth Night" this summer and both a film & tour of "Macbeth" this autumn. The buttons below will lead you to some more information about these projects and give you the opportunity to find out who runs the company.
